Hobbs, 17, faces up to ten years’ detention after being convicted of grievous bodily harm. An Exeter Crown Court judge lifted a ban on identifying the yob because of his age as he remanded him in custody for pre-sentence reports.

  2. why is it that the actions of this idiot are being treated as assault?! If Steven Cloak had died then it would have been treated as murder so is it only the intervention of medical services that changes the charge? That is crazy. Anyone repeatedly kicking another person in the head should be charged with attempted murder not GBH – if jack Hobbs is too thick too understand that then so what, it’s still attempted murder. The courts should have the courage to do the job they’re employed for – justice.
